Educar per a la sostenibilitat. Percepció i projecció de les problemàtiques socials i ambientals. Per un model psicopedagògic d'educació per a la sostenibilitat

Abstract

Aquesta Tesi Doctoral parteix d'una motivació i sensibilització personal pels temes i les problemàtiques socials i ambientals. Del convenciment personal que l'educació per a la sostenibilitat pot tenir un paper important com a generador de canvis. Del fet de ser conscient de la magnitud i complexitat de la situació actual a nivell global i de la necessitat de contribuir a la recerca d'alternatives sostenibles a nivell local. La Tesi té tres objectius. El primer, conèixer la percepció i la projecció de les problemàtiques socials i ambientals dels nostres infants tant a nivell local com global. És a dir, saber que pensem els infants sobre els problemes socials i ambientals de la Terra actualment i com veuen el futur. El segon, definir i delimitar el concepte d’educació per a la sostenibilitat com a base i somni col•lectiu per proporcionar-nos raons essencials i humanes per reorientar l'educació a la nostra societat. I el tercer, proposar la creació i construcció d’un model psicopedagògic per educar per a la sostenibilitat que revitalitzi el fet educatiu cap a la millora de les relacions dels éssers humans entre nosaltres mateixos i dels humans amb la biosfera. Aquesta Tesi es situa dins el marc del paradigma crític o d’aproximació crítica per què parteix d’un compromís personal en la transformació de la realitat. Tot i aquests marc conceptual s’utilitzen metodologies quantitatives i qualitatives en la recerca.

This thesis has arisen from my personal motivation and personal awareness of issues and social and environmental problems. It is my personal conviction that providing education on sustainability can play an important role as a generator of change. This means being aware of the magnitude and complexity of the current global situation and the need to contribute to finding sustainable alternatives locally.The thesis has three goals. First, understand the perception and projection of social and environmental problems of our children both locally and globally. That is to say, we know what children think about social and environmental problems on Earth today and how they see the future. The second goal is to define and delimit the concept of education for sustainability as the basis and use this as a platform to provide essential human reasons to re-orientate education in our society. The third goal proposes the creation and construction of a pedagogical and psychological educational model to provide education on sustainability that would re-vitalize education towards improving relations between human beings and between human beings and the biosphere. This thesis is situated within a critical paradigm or critical approach which is based on a personal commitment to the transformation of reality. In addition, this conceptual framework uses quantitative and qualitative methods in the research.
