This article analyses University of Zaragoza students’ perception on selfregulation
and empathy in the practice of introjective motor situations. The students’
practice diary was used to collect data, which underwent content analysis using NUD*IST
6 software. The results show reduced self-regulation and empathy in participants’
statements. The need to integrate introjective motor practices into teacher education in
order to develop these socio-personal skills was confirmed and some teaching guidelines
are proposed for this purpose
