TADAS-devices are used in special moment resisting frames and needs
certain relative displacements to start energy dissipating. The TADAS
(triangular-plate added damping and stiffness) device is one of the examples
of hysteretic dampers with elasto-plastic behavior. A TADAS-device is
designed and tested on low-cycle fatigue. A test design from a preliminary
test is proposed.
The objective is to design a TADAS-device ant the testing set-up. The design
is improved, taking into account the knowledge gained during the process
