Bioética, biopolítica y antropotécnicas

Reflection about the dilemmas arising from the possibilities of manipulation of human beings allowed by genetic engineering and biotechnology, with the aim to show the intimate connections between two fields which have tended to develop separately: bioethics and biopolitics. The interesting considerations of P. Sloterdijk in his lecture “Rules for the Human Park” (1999), combined with Foucault’s theories on biopolitics as the genuine power form of contemporary society, have been used for this purpose. The intention is to show that bioethics should not ignore the biopolitics background upon which the problems derived from the advance of technoscience emerge ​
