d’ingressos reals.

This study aims to show the educational differences resulting from the powerful division that suffered the city of Berlin until the year 1989, when the wall that separates the city in two was destroyed, from the citizens that lived at that time. However, what the follow pages try to do, is to see if the fact of living in the capitalist sector or Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesrepublik Deutschland) or the communist sector also known as German Democratic Republic (Deutsche Demokatische Republik), influenced the decision of individuals in terms of education. That is, if the fact of living in one sector or another, meant a greater or lesser degree of studies obtained by their inhabitants. It has also proven the post-education period of the individuals, observing when they enter the work environment. In addition, a second part of this study correlates the education variable with socioeconomic variables to see if they also have an important effect when individuals choose. We do all of this always separating individuals by the sector they receive education and by gender. To carry out this study we used the database provided by the G-SOEP (German Socio-Economic Panel)

Inequality is an economic phenomenon that has always existed in human history. The differences on wealth, opportunities and even rights are older than civilization itself. Alongside this, the explanations and justifications for inequality have varied through time (from divine rights of the elites to work meritocracy). Whatever the motives are, human societies rarely move towards a perfectly equal distribution of resources. In most of today’s democracies, though, we find several attempts at redistribution and a strong interest in allowing universal opportunities for the entire population. In this paper I analyse inequality in a worldwide scale, with the intention of discovering its dynamics and discerning if it impacts the growth and development of nations and people, answering the question: Does inequality affect the development of nations?

This paper is a study on the outsourcing in the field of Public administration, specifically in the area of Environmental Administration. It analyzes the possible motivations that a public administration can have to entrust the management of drinking water and wastewater treatment services to a company from the private sector, as well as the consequences this may have. As a result of the study it is concluded that water is a human right, and therefore the public administration should manage it in the most direct way possible

This work analyses the empirical determinants of household saving rates using data from 21 European countries for 2000-14. The purpose of this research is to review and extend the usual set of explanatory variables that are used to explain saving behaviour. Previous literature signals that the saving behaviour is determined by economic, demographic, social and cultural factors. This work examines these determinants and also the effects of the economic crisis in saving patterns. Moreover, it adds another possible determinant of household saving decisions: the weather. To carry out the analysis we used a panel data model. The results show that some economic, social and demographic variables have an impact in saving rates. In addition, the crisis is found to have a significant influence in saving patterns. It is also concluded that the weather is not a relevant variable in defining household saving rates. Nonetheless, the study of the variable weather has faced some limitations, that if overcome might bring other results in future studies

This paper aims to estimate the impact on economic activity of government fiscal policy shocks in Spain, and it is done on a VAR frame of reference for a 20 year period. Results show government spending shocks are highly persistent over time. Increases in both government spending and taxes are effective on stimulating economic activity on the short run. However, after two years, these shocks are found to have a less positive impact and dragging economic activity on the long term. Expenditure multiplier is found 4 times bigger than revenue multiplier after 2 years and it’s more effective on stimulating the economy at a cost of increasing debt. Finally, fiscal policy is also found more effective when the economy is in the low cycle

This document analyzes the effect of health care spending on the reported level of satisfaction in Spain during the period 2002 - 2014. Using data from the European Social Survey a panel data model is estimated for the 17 different regions over the 7 waves of the survey. The results show that health care spending per capita do have a positive effect on life satisfaction. Analyzing its three main components separately, it turns out that only the expenditures on pharmacy and primary health care seem to explain this effect. In addition, the outcomes of the model also show that both higher levels of GDP growth and GDP per capita tend to explain higher levels of satisfaction. Oddly enough, unemployment and inflation also seem to be positively correlated. Finally, some social characteristics also appear to explain some of these variations, such as marital status and subjective perception of one´s health

This study analyses the influence of labour force adjustment plans on Spanish territory over the last years, as well as the sensitivity of these agreements to economic cycle changes. The empirical study consists in the realization and contrast of different econometric models with panel data, for the period 2008-2016, distinguishing by autonomous regions. The validation of these models has allowed to determine if there are differences in the frequency of adoption of these plans, according to the gender of the worker, the sector and the size of the company

The main objective of this work is to pursue curiosity. A curiosity respect the “status quo” that some institutions suffer when they want to teach economics. So, what this document intends is to introduce the Austrian school of economics, develop their ideas and authors, and put everything into practice with situations that are happening nowadays in our society

There is an extensive literature that discusses the different causes of inequality, as well as its negative consequences. However, few articles have deepened in the impact that culture has on inequality. The purpose of this paper is to explore this relationship. Using the Hofstede and Schwartz culture indexes, which are crystallized in the individualism-collectivism dichotomy, and the GINI index, extracted from the WIDID (World Income Inequality Database), we find that societies with individualistic values tend to have a less degree of inequality, while collective societies, inequality tends to
increase. The previous relationship implies correlation and not causality and, in order to control this problem, the pathogen instrumental variable is used. After using the instrument and control variables, the results show that individualism – collectivism loses signification, which means that the relationship could be channelled by other variables

Today, consumption has become one of the basic pillars of the way millions of people live. Human societies are experiencing a paradigm based on unlimited consumption and economic growth to maintain certain levels of economic activity. In this context, the main objective of this Final Degree Project is to reflect on the sociological phenomena related to consumption. Thus, the work outlines a general picture that allows the reader to delve deeper into the study of consumption. The fundamental thesis that is intended to be defended is that excessive consumption is an essential feature of contemporary societies and that the acceleration of Consumption processes have ended up generating negative social consequences, such as increasing environmental problems or increasing social inequality. In this sense, we are trying to show that despite the fact that ostensible consumption has been homogenized in all of them
the spheres of society, there are still sectors of the population that cannot become part of consumer society (this does not mean that they are influenced by their logic and dynamics)

While it is true that articles and theoretical works have been written that have suggested various causes of inequality over time, empirical works — which act as filter to determine which of these causes are significant- scarce.
The aim of this work is precisely to demonstrate, through a model of ordinary least squares and for a sample of 90 countries in 4 years (1994, 2001, 2009 and 2015), what causes of inequality pointed out by the theory really are
empirically relevant. Schematically, the results globally
show that variables related to development and globalization — both positively as well as negatively — they are significant. The variables of ethnic difference and fertility rate are closely related to high degrees of inequality. In the second model both institutional quality and inflation are also shown significant to explain the inequality. Additionally, the comparison between
continents largely confirms the results obtained in the joint sample and a further highlights the close relationship between rising inequality and financial globalization. Finally, the work suggests that institutions are crucial to combating inequality, because they are the only ones with the power to
legislate and reverse negative factors to achieve a more equitable society

The audit is divided into two different areas of study, the private sector and the public sector. These two areas represent different particularities, the public audit has different responsibilities and functions from the private one. The public sector works with some rules/laws applicable only to it.
The audit must have economic efficiency and efficiency to demonstrate a faithful and transparent image. The main drawback that an audit study can face is the unreliability/transparency of the image of the annual accounts, which may cause possible fraud in the administration.
Fraud could be defined as the main enemy in the general audit whether internal, external or sectoral. It can create a bad image and possibly bankruptcy in the sector or area it affects. Fraud not only affects the annual accounts themselves,
but one of the first or main ones to be harmed is the auditor

For a few months now I have given up eating meat. It was all a coincidence that I don’t I regret not at all today. The change I made in my diet has only had one positive effects and made me ruminate on the eating habits of humans. I think completely in the phrase omwe are what we eat¨. It is crucial to have a good diet for what I am I aim to help people achieve this. The way I want to achieve this is to open one store of natural products that encourages good and responsible consumption of food and care personal

Sensory marketing has always been one of the most powerful tools for influence consumer buying behavior. The origins of sensory marketing is found in one of the most important figures in Greek philosophy. In 367 BC, Aristotle stated, "There is nothing in the mind that has not passed through the senses before." This shows how essential the senses were when it came to capturing attention of the mind, long before marketing was born as we know it today. At the Over the years, this “tool” has been sharpened and refined to be the most efficient
possible. According to Kotler (2010), marketing 1.0 focused on the mass sale of standardized products. Later, 2.0 marketing emerged in which the consumers were well informed about the features of the products and could compare before making a decision. Marketing focused on the consumer

In the present work called "Consumption and proximity from a gender perspective", we we will focus on a socioeconomic study of new consumption trends related to the responsible consumption, especially in local consumption. We will study especially the consumption trends related to proximity consumption or KM0, from a point of view not only theoretically and globally, but working with a study focused on perception and habits consumption of consumers in our country. We will work from the data extracted through of a survey we conducted in Catalonia during April 2021.
As for the theories of consumption, on which we will rely, they take a social perspective towards consumption, differentiating the various types and / or trends of consumption. To these
theories we will add a gender perspective as it is as much or more important when it comes to taking consumption decisions, especially with regard to consumption decisions in the field familiar. We will therefore focus our study on proximity consumption from a gender perspective, through the analysis of the responses segmented according to the different ones

The study aims to analyze the gender roles in our society, especially, in the haute cuisine, and attempts to determine if there are gender discriminations in the work environment.
In order to carry it out, a look through history is done first so as to analyze how the situation was in the past and how it is nowadays. From a qualitative methodology, which is based on a sample of seven interviews with Michelin-starred Catalan chefs, the results show a greater presence of male chefs which let us conclude that there is still a lot to be done to gather the gender equality in the sector

(Nakamoto, 2008)
Tanmateix, Bitcoin està actualment operatiu i permet realitzar transaccions.
Blockchain technology has been roaming the web for years now, but it is being en
the latter in which it is gaining more renown and relevance. Both the great fortunes and
small investors have seen this as an investment opportunity. Fact that has led to create
a kind of stock market image that encompasses the entire ecosystem.
But this functionality is not what Satoshi Nakamoto had in mind. The creator of
Bitcoin was clear and concise when explaining the purpose of this network. What
was looking for was to create an alternative to online payment offered by institutions
traditional finance. In order to improve different aspects such as privacy and security,
all without the participation of third parties. (Nakamoto, 2008)
However, Bitcoin is currently operational and allows for transactions. But the
system that supports it has grown considerably in size and now there are countless of them
projects that look beyond operating as if they were decentralized banks. However,
this new technology differs in many ways from the traditional financial system. being
one of them is energy consumption. Which forms the central axis of this work, in which
the energy cost of this technology will be compared with the electricity expenditure that
involves the traditional financial system

Minimum wage policies are intended to increase the standards of living of lowwage workers and reduce income inequality. However, there are concerns that
minimum wage increases could have a negative impact on employment for several
reasons. This study examines the effects of increases in the minimum wage on the
level of employment in Spain between 2008 and 2019, considering the average wage
and checking for potential different effects on women. Our OLS estimates show that
minimum wage increases have a negative impact on employment when they are not
accompanied by a proportional increase in average wages. On the contrary, when
minimum wages increase at the same rate as average wages do, the effects on
employment prove to be positive. As for women, our OLS estimates show that, indeed,
effects are different for the female population, but, contrary to what we would have
expected, not in a negative way

This paper aims to provide evidence about the change of income inequality in the active
population in Spain since 2008, it also aims to investigate the distributional effects of monetary
transfers and taxation during the long economic recovery. Investigating income inequality
could provide important insights into the evolution of any given country, as it has real and
measurable effects on the GDP. These effects can be either positive or negative. For example,
inequality can promote growth by fostering aggregate savings or stimulating R&D (Kuznets,
1955), inequality is said to matter in terms of growth duration, as Berg & OSTRY (2017)
demonstrated in their research, the relation between “growth spells”1 and inequality remained
strong despite the inclusion of many other possible determinants. Regarding the negative
effects, they mostly tend to develop rather slowly and include a change of institution, the rise of
socio-political movements or the reduction of spending on education (Bénabou, 1996). Among
other things, income inequality is also positively related to domestic violence (Weede, 1981) or
violent crime (Morgan, 2000). Income inequality could also affect the population’s health and
well-being (Pickett & Wilkinson, 2015)

This paper analyzes the behavior of the Federal Reserve (Fed) and the European Central
Bank (ECB) concerning their interest rate decisions from the beginning of 2022 until 2023.
The primary goal of the policies implemented was to lower the elevated inflation rates
generated after the COVID-19 crisis and the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Both
had to change their monetary strategies and put into place a restrictive one, which involved
hiking their interest rates. The methods these banks have employed, as well as their intensity
and timeliness, have differed. Although not just as a result of the monetary policies used,
inflation has decreased. The decline in energy costs is one of several reasons that have
contributed to lower prices. The unemployment rate has remained low, and the economies
are still expanding, although more slowly

Associationism and volunteering have multiple effects on communities, but because of their
non-market nature, measuring them is a challenge for economists. Although in this paper we
will look at some methodologies used to value its impact and explore the determinants that
contribute to explain the decision to participate in a non-profit organization, we will focus on
assessing the remarkable impact that volunteering has on the welfare of those who practice it
